Verdier-Logel are featured as premier producers in Côtes de Forez in the Revue du Vin de France

from the article:

“The wines of Forez owe a lot to the Logel family, based in Marcilly-le-Chatel. In 1992, a year after his start, Jacques, the father, was the first winemaker to estate bottle his wine, thus bringing the Forez winemaker out of the shadows. Orginially from Alsace, he was also the first to plant, among others, Alsatian grape varieties in IGP (reisling, pinot gris). Always pioneers, the domaine opted to farm organically in 1997. Today his daughter Julie and nephew Maxime Giller , having arrived in 2019 and 2015 respectively, have taken over. With the new generation, the wines have gained in precision and in purity. If their côtes-de-forez is a must have, their amazing côt-based IGP is a marvel.”
